My Leadership Philosophy

Everyone wants to do great work that has positive impact, and to belong to a team that champions, challenges and supports them.

A great design leader creates excellence and growth at all levels.

Be personally accountable for design quality. Build processes and systems to enable design excellence. Drive correct strategic prioritization, right-sizing, and timeliness of work.

 

The Company

Build a design organization that works for the company and clients it serves. Collaboratively develop a clear design strategy and vision that all levels of leadership value. Champion design impact and build connections throughout the company.

 

The Team

Provide the necessary process and tools to reduce friction and let people focus on the work that matters. Foster great team culture and a sense of belonging for all members. Seek and support diversity with intentionality. Recruit and hire for now and the future.

 

The Individuals

Consciously promote accountability and career development throughout the team by providing a framework for clear and actionable feedback, understanding individual’s talents and goals, and providing coaching. Match the work to the person and team, finding the sweet spot of opportunity, skills, and interest, and superpowers.
